Self-cooled Induction Cap Sealer Now Available for High Volume Applications

(November 3, 2002) WAUKESHA, WI — Lepel Corporation, a leading provider of high quality induction cap sealing equipment and the manufacturer of the world’s first self-cooled induction cap sealer, has now added a high volume model to the self-cooled product family. The CS Plus350 seals containers at line speeds of up to 350 feet per minute with no water and no moving parts, eliminating plumbing and maintenance. The system is also fan-free, eliminating filter changes and downtime. It is shipped fully assembled for easy integration.

The highly reliable CS Plus350 seals a broad variety of caps from 5mm to 120mm. Easy-to-operate, legible microprocessor controls allow user-defined parameters to be programmed in, such as Percent Power and Energy Save. A second control panel may be located remotely. The system also features built-in system integrity monitoring for power, current, frequency, phase, temperature, and communication. The CS Plus350 has a solid state design and a stainless steel NEMA 4-approved enclosure, and comes with a two-year warranty. Options include a motion sensing package for monitoring line speed, stalls, alignment, and tolerance setting.

Induction cap sealing is a non-contact process that uses an electromagnetic field to safely seal foil disks to product containers. The many advantages of induction sealing include tamper evident and leakproof seals; airtight barriers for increased shelf life; seals that discourage pilferage; and assurance that the product has been untouched, leading to enhanced customer confidence.
